Pre-Fall Loves

I am ashamed of myself, I have been MIA for wayyyyy too long, my only valid excuse is that I was on vacation next week, and I didn't take my computer, my iPad or anything, not even my phone! So yeah, but other then that, the only excuse I can give you is that I was too lazy to move.... sucky, I know. But, I feel it would be nice for me to share a few things from my three favorite Pre-Fall collections. I'll get started with Hervé Léger by Max Azria. One word: perfection. Really, like if I could, I'd have a closet full of Hervé mini dresses, I can never get enough!! I just love the simplicity of everything, when you look at it at first, it's so simple, but look a little closer and it's complex, the details, just the everything.
If I had this dress, I would be the sexiest twig in the world. The way the the black folds in to the gold on the sides, just God, it's revealing without being trashy at all.

One thing that really intrigues me about this brand is how all the dresses and everything, are made from that bandage fabric, and normally, you'd think, everything is form fitting, but nope. The thing about this is that it's playful, but oh so sexy at the same time.

I like blue, and well, this, like everything else Hervé Léger makes is sexy.

Missoni is a label that has been one of my favorites for years, season after season, it just gets better, I'm never unimpressed. What pulls me in the most I think are the the prints, I could spot just about anything Missoni from 10 miles away. This collection makes me want to snuggle up with hot cocoa on a rainy day with a male model.

I feel like if I were to write something about each look it would sound too repetitive, because well ahhhh, where's my male model holding hot cocoa?? The oversized shearling, the purple coat and the sequin detailing on the dress, I can't do it, I need these pieces.

Last but not least, we have Moschino Cheap and Chic. At first I was a little iffy about this collection since it opened with tons of red plaid that I absolutely hate, but after it passed everything kept getting cuter!

Drawn on details, tweed, soft colors, lace and pops of bright sunny yellow, yep, count me right on in! Everything here is just so huggable and cute, if I were to wear any of these pieces my male model would come up running and give me the greatest bear hug ever!

The Maine

Last night I went up to Sao Paulo to go see The Maine. Let me just tell you, it was perfect. Sorry for not posting so much, I've just been really busy with school. Anyways, the whole band is perfect. John, the lead singer, has the cutest little laugh ahhhh I just want last night back.

Flower Power

Just another quick and casual outfit, I don't know why exactly but I've been envisioning this for a few days now. The flowers really compliment the army green, I don't know.

Shorts - Buckle
Shoes - Brazilian shoe store called Emporio Naka

Current song: Loverboy - You Me At Six

Oh!! All Time Low, one of my favorite bands, released a new music video for their song Time-Bomb!

Lazy Lazy

I haven't done anything particularly interesting these past few days, summer vacation is about to start, but we had yesterday and today off so I just decided to be lazy. I spent yesterday watching Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Devil Wears Prada and of course The September Issue. It was quite nice actually, so today I'm just lounging around in shorts and a tshirt... remember those Texas flag shorts I mentioned in my first post? Well that is me once again. They're much cuter than those Nike Tempo shorts (even though I have like 93902458902809 pairs of those). Texas pride, can't stop it. And I also decided to pair it with a Keep Austin Weird tee. Unless you're from Texas you're probably having a very hard time visualizing all of this. And the way it all looks is too embarrassing to be posted on the internet, so, I'll leave you with a cute drawing I found of Karl, Audrey and Anna on Tumblr. I think I'm going to put it on a tank top or a tote bag or something.. hmmm

Current song: The Reflecting Skin - Farewell Continental

Going to the mall tonight with a couple friends. To eat and see a movie, I really want to see the Muppets movie! It looks so cute! Any who, pretty simple, just a vneck tucked in to floral denim shorts. The town I live in is a beach town, so it has a really laid back atmosphere (that I don't always enjoy!). In two years time I'll be in college, hopefully at Columbia, but if all else fails I have UT at home.

Shirt - Pacsun
Lace Cami - Abercrombie
Belt - stole it from my friend ha

Studded and Striped

As mentioned in the last post, I love studs. Like, I really love them, I would marry them if I could, no joke. The striped shirt really adds a relaxed vibe to the look, and the boat shoes help add even more relaxation to it. You'll also come to notice that I love relaxed looks and my Sperry Topsiders are my best friends.

Shirt - Forever 21
Skirt - Urban Outfitters
Bag - Gap
Shoes - Sperry Topsiders

Current song: About a Girl - The Summer Set

Versace for H&M

Old news, yes, I'm very much aware, but ahhhhhhhhh! It's all so nice and perfect and just ugh. There are three pieces from the collection that I've been eyeing for a while now, the only thing left to do is 1. Save money; 2. Beg my mother. I think the latter is more useful at the moment, considering I don't have a job, or any income, I mean, I'm a sixteen year old girl, what do you expect? Anyways, before I start rambling endlessly, I thought I'd share what I liked most in the collection. Isn't it good that you can't drool on the Internet??

All drool inducing item, yes I concur.
PS.: Can you tell how much I love studs and leather?

Current song: You Had Me @ Hello - A Day To Remember

Favorites

At heart, I am the world's biggest fangirl. It's not even funny, go to a concert with me or just read my tweets and you'll see how lame I am. So, I thought it would be fair to share one of the most important things about me with you all. My music taste. Basically, I just put together a list of my "music musts". Enjoy.
Jasey Rae Acoustic - All Time Low
The acoustic version of this song is just so much nicer than the regular version. All Time Low is one of my favorite bands, and they're the type of band that I always go back to, you can find me front row at their shows singing my heart out to every song. No, really.

Living Louder - The Cab
One of the most inspirational song out there. This song just makes me want to get up and well live loudly.

The World has it's Shine [But I Would Drop it on a Dime For You] - Cobra Starship
Just has a really nice beat to it. Cobra is another band like All Time Low, I went to the Justin Bieber concert here in Brazil because they were opening, everyone around me was staring at me like I was crazy because I was the literally the only person who knew them, and knew every word to every song, nevertheless I still had the time of my life.

Risque - Cute Is What We Aim For
First song I ever saw live. They opened for Fall Out Boy back in 07, first concert ever. First song where I heard the live version before the studio version. This song will always have a place in my heart, and it's really fun to sing along to!

I Just Wanna Run - The Downtown Fiction
Just a perfect sing along, and the lead singer is just unf.

Starry Eyed - Ellie Goulding
Discovered her a while back, just go download the whole album and you'll understand. It's perfection.

Chicago Is So Two Years Ago - Fall Out Boy
Great song. Perfect song. Awesome band. First favorite band, still my favorite band. Come back to me.

Stay - Mayday Parade
I love all the melodies, and the vocals, and screaming "STAAAAAAAAAAAAAY" at the top of my lungs is something I like doing on a regular basis.

Hurricane - Panic! At The Disco
All around fun song, and I literally have the lyrics to this song written on every page in my notebook, I don't know why, but they've stuck to me like glue ever since I first met this song.

Spotlight(Oh Nostalgia) - Patrick Stump
Patrick Stump. There is no other man like him. No other voice like his. Nothing like him. Lead singer for Fall Out Boy as well. This song is a great pick me up.

So, In This Hour... - The Rocket Summer
Such a nice song. Bryce Avary has the most relaxing voice, and he's from Dallas! The best thing about this sing is the instrumental part at the end! I can never get enough of it!

Don't Let Me Go - The Summer Set
I. Love. Gang. Vocals. And I may have a teeny crush on the guitarist, Josh. He he he

Crash - You Me At Six
I am so obsessed with this it's not even funny, unhealthy maybe. I leave it on repeat for days on end. I don't sing it, I scream it. Just, I don't even know, this is perfection in song form.

Laid Back Sparkle

The simple complexity of this is kind of mesmerizing to me. The way the hoodie and the Converse kind of tone down the effect of the sequins on the dress. When I was trying to figure out what shoes to pair with the ensemble, my mind was just like "CAITLIN THE CONVERSE!!!" and so I just said, ok mind, whatever your heart desires, I went with it and I quite liked the turnout of it. And the hoodie just adds a "I just left an awesome party, but now I'm chilly" vibe to it.

Hoodie - DC
Dress - Brazilian boutique called Companhia da Moda
Shoes - Converse

Current song: Smile for the Paparazzi - Cobra Starship
The other day I was feeling so inspired that I decided to paint. So I drew up a couple things, grabbed my bag and went to the art supply store. I bought three canvases, paint and a few brushes. I spent the whole day on my bedroom floor painting and making sure every detail was perfect. It was really nice actually, and finishing two of three of the paintings I was working on felt really nice. I'm the type of person that likes to have about 10 things going on at once, and that way, I just get everything done much faster, and in the end I feel 10 times more accomplished. Today, I still have to study physics for my exam tomorrow, but after that I'm going to work on my third painting, and who knows, maybe afterwards I'll draw more things to paint!

Moodboard

This morning I decided to make my first ever moodboard. Basically, all I did was find just about every single old magazine in the house, and well, I cut out everything that appealed to me. I think it looks pretty good for a first attempt. Enjoy :)

Want

If anyone gives me an envelope clutch then you'll have my love forever. No, really. I think the Chloé is my favorite, but the Christopher Kane is perfect as well. Sigh, one day, Caitlin.

Starting at the top left:

Current song: So Much Love - The Rocket Summer

Sweaters and Chanel

I don't know why, but there's something so charming about a frilly skirt under an oversized sweater. And of course the Chanel tops the whole thing off. And, to make this even better, all these pieces are under $50! (Besides the bag of course)
Sweater - Vintage $22
Skirt - Abercrombie $48 (the site says $128, but Polyvore said $48.. so)
Shoes - H&M £12
Bag - Chanel $2,200

Current song: Under the Sheets - Ellie Goulding

Big Print

I'm already tall, but today was that kind of day where I felt like towering over everyone. So I slipped on my sandals, and boom, I was a skyscraping giraffe. The blue also seemed to go with the tone of today, all rainy and gloomy, but I don't see this outfit as gloomy, it's just my way of brightening up a rainy day!

Jean Jacket - Abercrombie
Top - Forever 21
Necklaces - Forever 21
Skirt - Nordstrom
Sandals - some boutique here in Brazil
Current song: Cousins - Vampire Weekend

Here Goes Nothing

One glimpse of this page and you've probably already figured out that I'm going to be posting my outfits here. Well, you're right. I'm 16 (I turned 16 on 11/11/11! How cool is that?!?!?), I live in Santos, Brazil and I was born in Dallas, Texas. Two completely different places, I know. So here I am, sitting at my laptop on a rainy day, bored, looking for something to do, and all of a sudden it occurred to me, I'll start a blog! And my mother will be delighted by the fact that I've actually decided to do something productive with my time! I think I'll just play dress up today, since I'm not actually going anywhere, and right now my clothes aren't the most fashion forward (if you consider a Texas Rangers tee with Texas flag running shorts fashionable then that's on you), so I'll put something cute on, and snap a few pictures, and see where this blog takes me!

Top - Nordstrom
Jeans - Pacsun
Shoes - I don't know the brand but I found then at TJMaxx a few years ago
Belt - stolen from a friend
Utility Shirt - Abercrombie

Oh, ps, I'm not sure if you can tell, but my hair is curled, and well this is my first successful attempt at curling my hair, yes, I'm proud of myself
